Use the Total Distance tracker to record total distances of your shots, primarily with your driver or woods off of the tee.
If you have access to a Foresight, SkyTrak or TrackMan you could use the brand-appropriate tracker instead of this one. The advantage of using this one is its simplicity with configuration and is vendor agnostic.
Configuration
In order to be able to add and configure trackers for topics, you must be able to create your own practice topics. Creating practice topics is a feature that is only available for Premium subscribers.
This tracker has the following feature configuration options:
Property | Value | Purpose |
Ball Count | Required. Default to 10. | The number of balls to hit. |
Ball Timer |
Default OFF Number of seconds when ON |
A countdown timer to use for hitting each ball. Entry into the tracker is disabled unless the timer is at zero. |
Altitude |
Default OFF Defaults to 0m. |
Indicate what altitude value the ball flight monitor is using to assist in calculating its values. |
Temperature |
Default OFF Defaults to 70 degrees Fahrenheit. |
Indicate what temperature value the ball flight monitor is using to assist in calculating its values. |
Humidity |
Default OFF Defaults to 50%. |
Indicate what humidity value the ball flight monitor is using to assist in calculating its values. |
This tracker has the following data points that it can help you capture:
Property | Value | Purpose |
Offline | Default OFF | Record how far offline the shot is from the target line when the ball comes to rest. |
Total | Default ON | Record how far the ball traveled after it has come to rest. |
Usage
The image below shows what the Total Distance tracker looks like when in use on a session topic with every configurable feature enabled.
The information blocks in order are:
- HIT IN -- This is the ball timer.
- BALLS -- Indicates how many balls total are intended to be hit.
- REMAIN -- Indicates how many balls remain to be hit. This is a button that can be used to increase the number of balls to hit during the session.
Below the information blocks are fields where the information output from the ball flight monitor is typed in. Since the tracker has only and Total configured, only that field appears here. A value is required.
Next is the button to record the values for this tracker. The button is currently disabled in the image because the two required fields have not yet been given values. Once values are input into those fields, the button will be enabled which will advance to the next shot with clear values.
There are also three tool buttons in the top right corner.
- Left Arrow -- Go back to the previous shot to make edits.
- Right Arrow -- Go to the next shot to make edits or to continue.
- Eraser -- Clear out the typed in data in all of the fields.
