Use the Putt High/Low tracker to record if you missed a putt above or below the hole.
This tracker has limited configuration capabilities because it currently intended to be used for skill assessments.
Configuration
In order to be able to add and configure trackers for topics, you must be able to create your own practice topics. Creating practice topics is a feature that is only available for Premium subscribers.
This tracker has the following configuration options:
Property | Value | Purpose |
Ball Count |
(optional) |
The number of balls to hit. |
Target Size | Defaults to 3 feet | Defines the size of the target circle diameter that starts at the front edge of the cup and extends beyond. |
Ball Timer |
Default OFF Number of seconds when ON |
A countdown timer to use for hitting each ball. Entry into the tracker is disabled unless the timer is at zero. |
Fixed Distance |
Default OFF |
Specify a distance here if there is a fixed distance from the cup that balls should be putted from. |
Random Distance (Min) |
Default OFF |
Specify a distance here if there is a random distance from the cup that balls should be putted from. This is the minimum range of the random number. |
Random Distance (Max) |
Default OFF |
Specify a distance here if there is a random distance from the cup that balls should be putted from. This is the maximum range of the random number. |
Usage
The image below shows what the Putt High/Low tracker looks like when in use on a session topic with most configurable features enabled. IN this case, a fixed distance was configured; therefore the HOLE AT value will not change. If random distances were configured, this value would change after each putt.
The information blocks in order are:
- HIT IN -- This is the ball timer.
- BALLS -- Indicates how many balls total are intended to be hit.
- REMAIN -- Indicates how many balls remain to be hit. This is a button that can be used to increase the number of balls to hit during the session.
- HOLE AT -- Indicates how far away the hole (or cup) is from where you are to putt.
- TARGET -- Indicates the size of the target circle diameter that starts at the front edge of the cup and extends beyond.
Next are the buttons where you record the result of each putt.
- Too Long -- Select this result if the ball stopped both past the hole and outside/beyond the target circle.
- Too Short -- Select this result if the ball stopped short of the cup.
- Below the Hole -- Select this result if the ball reached at least the distance of the cup but, on a breaking putt, broke below the hole. The ball does not have to be resting in the target circle as long as it is not beyond the back edge of it.
- Above the Hole -- Select this result if the ball reached at least the distance of the cup but, on a breaking putt, broke above the hole and if the stroke conditions were improved it could have gone into the cup. The ball should also be resting in the target circle; otherwise you should select Too Long.
- Record Ball Holed -- When the ball goes into the hole, select this result.
The final section shows a running tally of results. For this tracker, it shows:
- STRUCK -- The total number of balls struck.
- HOLED -- The percentage of balls that went into the cup.
- HIGH -- The percentage of balls that were missed on the high side of the cup.
- LOW -- The percentage of balls that were missed on the low side of the cup.
- LONG -- The percentage of balls that were missed long, both beyond the cup and the target circle.
- SHORT -- The percentage of balls that were short of the cup and never reached the target circle.
There is also 1 tool button in the top right corner.
- Curled Arrow -- Undo the last entry and give a ball back. Use this to change if the results of the shot in case the wrong button was pushed.
