Use the Face Strike Tendency tracker to record where you are striking balls on the club face, selecting a spot in a 3X3 grid. This tracker is used for all clubs other than the putter when recording your face strike tendencies.
This tracker has limited configuration capabilities because it currently intended to be used for skill assessments.
Configuration
In order to be able to add and configure trackers for topics, you must be able to create your own practice topics. Creating practice topics is a feature that is only available for Premium subscribers.
This tracker has the following configuration options:
Property | Value | Purpose |
Ball Count |
(optional) |
The number of balls to hit. |
Target Size | Defaults to 1.0 inches | Defines the size of the target circle diameter on the very center of club face. |
Ball Timer |
Default OFF Number of seconds when ON |
A countdown timer to use for hitting each ball. Entry into the tracker is disabled unless the timer is at zero. |
Usage
The image below shows what the Face Strike Tendency tracker looks like when in use on a session topic with every configurable feature enabled.
The information blocks in order are:
- HIT IN -- This is the ball timer.
- TARGET -- The circumference of the target circle on the face.
- BALLS -- Indicates how many balls total are intended to be hit.
- REMAIN -- Indicates how many balls remain to be hit. This is a button that can be used to increase the number of balls to hit during the session.
Next are the buttons where you record in what area of the face that the ball hit. If the ball hit within the target circle, regardless of how large it is, you record a center-face hit with the green button.
The final section shows a running tally of results. For this tracker, it shows:
- STRUCK -- The total number of balls struck.
There is also 1 tool button in the top right corner.
- Curled Arrow -- Undo the last entry and give a ball back. Use this to change if the results of the shot in case the wrong button was pushed.
