There are several trackers for usage with a Foresight ball flight monitor and simulator. Use the Foresight CG3 tracker if you have the GC3 model, the Foresight CGHawk tracker if you have the CGHawk model, or the Foresight GCQuad tracker if you have the GCQuad model. With these trackers you can manually input dynamics data that you require after each shot. During topic creation, you select which parameters you want to capture from the list of possible parameters made available from the model that you have.
Configuration
In order to be able to add and configure trackers for topics, you must be able to create your own practice topics. Creating practice topics is a feature that is only available for Premium subscribers.
These trackers have the following feature configuration options:
Property | Value | Purpose |
Ball Count | (optional) | The number of balls to hit. |
Ball Timer |
Default OFF Number of seconds when ON |
A countdown timer to use for hitting each ball. Entry into the tracker is disabled unless the timer is at zero. |
Target Distance |
(optional) |
How far the target is. |
Target Size |
(optional) |
The diameter of the target circle. |
Altitude |
Default ON Defaults to 0m. |
Indicate what altitude value the ball flight monitor is using to assist in calculating its values. |
Temperature |
Default ON Defaults to 77 degrees Fahrenheit. |
Indicate what temperature value the ball flight monitor is using to assist in calculating its values. |
These trackers have the numerous data points that it can help you capture and may vary depending on the monitor model that you are using. For the complete list, refer directly to the setup view for the tracker.
Property | Value | Purpose |
Angle of Attack | Default OFF | The downward angle in which the club head hit the ball immediately upon impact. |
... | ... | ... |
Carry | Default ON | Record the carry yardage of the shot. |
... | ... | ... |
Offline | Default OFF | Record how far offline the shot is. |

Usage
The image below shows what the Foresight GC3 tracker looks like when in use on a session topic with every configurable feature enabled. The Foresight GCHawk and Foresight CGQuad trackers appear and function very similar.
The information blocks in order are:
- HIT IN -- This is the ball timer.
- BALLS -- Indicates how many balls total are intended to be hit.
- REMAIN -- Indicates how many balls remain to be hit. This is a button that can be used to increase the number of balls to hit during the session.
Below the information blocks are fields where the information output from the ball flight monitor are typed in. Since the tracker had Carry, Club Path and Offline configured, those fields appear here. Values are required for all of them in order for the Next button to be enabled.
Next is the button to record the values for this tracker. The button is currently disabled in the image because the required fields have not yet been given values. Once values are input into those fields, the button will be enabled which will advance to the next shot with clear values.
There are also three tool buttons in the top right corner.
- Left Arrow -- Go back to the previous shot to make edits.
- Right Arrow -- Go to the next shot to make edits or to continue.
- Eraser -- Clear out the typed in data in all of the fields.
